Beginning with one Christian television station in the Cincinnati Ohio area, TCT has exploded into becoming a world-wide network of broadcast stations helping to bring the Gospel to the world.

In the mid seventies, Garth and Tina Coonce left the security of the business world and stepped out in obedience to the leading of the Spirit. Similar to the experience of the patriarch, Abraham, they left the comforts of what they knew and entered into a new and unfamiliar land – broadcast television. TCT was founded on May 20, 1977.

Many trials and tests would come through the years, but their obedience, commitment, and confidence in God has secured and stabilized TCT as into a powerful voice for the Gospel. It is an integral part of faith-based community television, taking advantage of the latest cutting edge technology and peak performance transmission capabilities. Around the world, potentially 1.5 billion viewers receive the TCT signal from their television stations via global satellites as well as direct-to-home and cable stations. TCT reaches over 125 million homes in the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, India, and the Philippines – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

TCT airs commercial-free, inspirational programming designed to appeal to a wide variety of denominational and cultural backgrounds. Programming format includes magazine, talk, interview, variety, music, and music videos. Viewers enjoy teaching, preaching, evangelism, health and fitness, youth and children’s programs. Some of the nation’s most prominent pastors broadcast their church services on TCT.
